She was such a great person, a terrific teacher and influential scholar. I am glad that that her school will have something lasting to mark her memory and her contributions.

Steve, thank you so much for these posts. I have been a little in shock from this news, so I greatly appreciate your passing along the information. Pattie and I knew each other as collaborators on my first edited book. She has long been an inspiration to me as a scholar and as a leader in the ISSS section. It is a terrible thing to know that she is gone, and encouraging to have practical ways to help secure her legacy.
