Susanna P. Campbell

Susanna P. Campbell is an Associate Professor at the School of International Service, the Director of the Research on International Policy Implementation Lab (RIPIL) at American University, and a current Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Her research examines interactions between international and domestic actors in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, addressing debates in the statebuilding, peacebuilding, peacekeeping, international aid, and global governance literatures. It has been supported by awards from the US National Science Foundation, Humanity United, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Swiss Network for International Studies, the United States Institute of Peace, the Swedish and Dutch governments, and the United Nations. Her work has also been published or is forthcoming with American Journal of Political Science, Cambridge University Press, Columbia University Press, Foreign Affairs, International Studies Review, International Peacekeeping, Journal of Global Security Studies, Journal of Politics, Oxford University Press, and Political Research Quarterly, among others.
